Sunday, November 9th sees the return of "Festa dell'Agricoltura Coltiviamo la Cultura," an initiative promoted by the Italian Historic Homes Association (ETS) to highlight the connection between the historic homes in our region and the surrounding agricultural world, of which they are often an active part as the headquarters of agricultural businesses.
In the heart of the small village of Codivernarolo, the historic Villa Selvatico da Porto opens its doors to share its history and that of the surrounding countryside. A place where culture and agriculture meet, between past and present, to showcase the historic architecture, the rural landscape, the products of our agriculture, and the people who bring it to life every day.
During the day, you can:
- take guided tours of the patrician residence, listening to the history and legends of this area and discovering some interesting facts about the da Porto family, who currently own it;
- discover and purchase the excellent products of local farms that will be exhibiting their products in the villa's Barchessa;
- stroll through the historic garden, admiring the seasonal foliage and a display of vintage tractors.
An opportunity for families, enthusiasts, and the curious to experience firsthand the products of our agriculture and the beauty of historic homes.

The National Agriculture Day, established by Law No. 24 of February 28, 2024, on the second Sunday of November, recognizes the fundamental role of farmers as custodians of the environment, land, and biodiversity, as well as highlighting their contribution to landscape protection and combating hydrogeological instability. ADSI is taking this opportunity to organize this event for the fourth year, combining the cultural value of the historic residence with its potential as a driver of sustainable development for rural areas.
